Refund & Cancellation Policy
Last updated: 2 August 2026
The short version
You can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the period you've already paid for. Because the free plan lets you use the whole product before paying, we don't offer refunds simply for changing your mind, but we always refund billing mistakes and anything that didn't work.
Try the whole thing before you pay
Solofy's free plan includes the entire product: scheduling, personas, templates, analytics and publishing to X. A paid plan changes exactly one thing: how many AI generations you get each month. Nothing is hidden behind the paywall, so you can find out whether the tool suits you without spending anything.
That's why this policy is narrow. You never have to buy Solofy to evaluate Solofy.
Cancelling
- Cancel any time from Settings → Billing, which opens the billing portal.
- Your plan stays active until the end of the billing period you've paid for. Cancelling does not cut access off immediately.
- At the end of that period your account moves to the free plan. Nothing is deleted: your posts, drafts, personas, templates and schedule all stay exactly as they are.
- We don't pro-rate partial months. If you cancel mid-period, you keep what you paid for until it runs out.
When we do refund
We refund these, at any time, without argument:
- You were charged twice for the same period, or charged an amount that doesn't match the plan you chose.
- You were charged after cancelling.
- You were charged without authorising it. For example, someone else used your card.
- The service didn't work: publishing was broken, your account couldn't connect, or a paid feature was unavailable for a meaningful part of the period, and we couldn't fix it.
- Any case where the consumer law that applies to you requires a refund.
When we don't
We don't refund a plan simply because it wasn't used, or because you changed your mind after paying. The free plan exists so you can make that decision before any money moves, and you can cancel before a renewal at any time. The Billing page always shows the date the next charge falls on.
Renewal charges work the same way. Cancelling stops the next renewal; it doesn't reverse one that has already happened.
If a renewal genuinely caught you out, email us anyway. We'd rather hear about it than have you dispute it with your bank.
Your legal rights
Nothing here limits rights you have under the consumer law where you live. In some countries , including the EU and UK, you have a statutory right to cancel a purchase within a set period, though that right can be given up for digital services you start using immediately. Where the law gives you more than this policy does, the law applies.
How to ask
Email solofy.support@gmail.com from the address on your Solofy account, and say which charge you mean. We aim to reply within two business days and to process approved refunds within 5–10 business days.
Refunds go back to the original payment method. How quickly it appears is up to your bank or card issuer, not us.
Who takes the payment
Payments are processed by Dodo Payments, who act as our merchant of record. They handle billing, applicable taxes and receipts, and they will appear as the merchant on your statement rather than Solofy. Refunds are issued through them.
Failed payments
If a renewal payment fails, we don't cut your access off straight away. The payment provider retries while you update your card, and your plan stays active during that window. If it's still unresolved after the retries, the account moves to the free plan. Nothing is deleted.
Before you file a chargeback
Please email us first. A chargeback typically takes weeks and locks the account while it's open; a refund request is usually settled in a day or two.
